Going on vacation is really exciting, especially when your vacation includes going on a cruise ship. Although it can be lots of fun going on a cruise, there are some things that you need to keep in mind. If you’re considering going on a cruise, here are some pros and cons to help you decide:

Pros

#1. You meet new people.
Sometimes meeting new people can be a bit of a challenge, and a cruise is a perfect way to get over that hump. There are tons of people that are along for the ride, and lots of people coupled with cool activities is perfect when wanting to make new friends.

#2. There’s endless fun to be had. Cruises are designed to give you a memorable and joyous experience. There are tons of entertainment options that span from watching stand up comedy routines and a live music show, to taking yoga classes or learning to make pottery. The options really are endless and there’s something for everyone.

#3. You’re basically on a mobile hotel. When you’re on a cruise, you have everything you need on to make sure you have a comfortable, luxurious experience. They come loaded with amenities which can include room service, fancy dinners, casinos, and even a hot tub.

Cons

#1. Check-in can take forever. It can be both annoying and daunting to wait until you’re checked in, especially since cruise ships can hold quite a bit of people. Depending on the size of the ship, this is a process that could take hours. So if you’re expecting to board a large ship, you definitely want to be prepare yourself both mentally and physically.

#2. Unpredictable weather. There are endless stories about people enduring bad weather during vacations. It’s a bit different though on a cruise since you’re stuck in the middle of the ocean. Be sure to keep this in mind as a possibility especially when planning outdoor activities during your trip.

#3. There’s no room to change your mind. When you buy your ticket and choose an itinerary, that’s it. Every stop included on your cruise, is as far as you will go. So if you suddenly decide you’d like to get an eyeful of an area where your cruise hasn’t promised to go, it simply will not happen.

Just like anything else, there are pros and cons. If you’re deciding to spend your vacation on a cruise ship, be sure that you research and plan ahead. As you want to be prepared for anything that could possibly come your way.
