A 23 year old Winnsboro man was struck and killed during a hit-and-run early Tuesday morning along Monticello Road, just north of Kinsler Road. The Richland County’s Coroners Office has identified the young man as Roderick D’Wayne Anderson. Anderson was walking along the 9400 block of Monticello Road around 4 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle. He died at the scene; an autopsy revealed that the cause of death was blunt force trauma of the head and torso. The vehicle that struck Anderson fled the scene after the incident. No vehicle make or model has been identified at this time, and there are no witnesses. SC Highway Patrol is still investigating this accident.
