Mere hours after being sworn in, President Trump headed straight to the oval office to begin making good on the many promises he made on the campaign trail.

Signing executive orders on everything from building a wall to beginning the process of repealing Obamacare, Trump has definitely been hard at work. So, this begs the question; just how much does Donald Trump actually work.

It has been decades, I’m sure, since Donald Trump was paid by the hour. None the less, he may just be one of the hardest working people in the nation. In fact, in an interview with PEOPLE Magazine in September of 2016, Trump stated that he thrives on only FOUR hours of sleep a night. Perhaps even more surprising was his answer regarding his exercise routine, or the lack thereof. “Don’t have to. When you’re making speeches for 25,000 people and shouting and screaming and having fun with everybody and making America great again, you get a lot of exercise”

Trump didn’t win the presidency by hosting one or two events a day. Rather, he spoke to multiple crowds, sometimes hitting 3-5 different states in one day. It is, without a doubt, this work ethic that made him president. Seemingly, he has taken this same approach to the job as President.

In an interview with “Newsmax Prime” host JD Hayworth, political commentator Michael Reagan said “He’s going to be the busiest president you have ever seen in your lifetime.” In fact, Reagan jokingly insists that a new office may have to be built for him in the Capitol because “he’s going to be spending a lot of time with the House and the Senate.” It’s unsure, yet, just how long Trump will be able to keep going at this pace, but let’s look at his work thus far:

In his first 12 days, President Trump has signed 18 executive orders on topics ranging from building a southern border wall to repealing the infamous Obamacare.

Met with British Prime Minister Theresa May, making her the first head of state Trump has had at the White House.

Met with multiple union and business leaders regarding how to get America back to work.

Met with many members of Congress and Senate from both sides of the isle, working on legislation to replace Obamacare, along with many other topics.

Visited the Pentagon and CIA Headquarters to begin the work of making our military stronger.

Went to the department of Homeland security, where he signed the Executive order to restart the building of a southern border wall.

And, we learned yesterday, Trump has oversaw his first raid, happening in Yemen. Unfortunately, during his first raid, Trump also had his first death of a military service member, Chief Special Warfare Operator William “Ryan” Owens. In fact, in what could signify the strong bond being formed between the Commander in Chief and the Military, President Trump abruptly halted his daily plans to jump on a plane to Dover Air base, where the Navy Seal’s body was being returned to American Soil.

Say what you want about Trump; love him or hate him, but you will never be able to say he was a lazy president. My, it is refreshing having a hard worker back in the White House.

Though the nation seems to be divided in half when it comes to the topic of our new President, few can argue against his work ethic.
